Happy Hooves Therapeutic Farm is a Non-Profit (501)(c)(3) organization that provides animal assisted therapy. In addition, Happy Hooves offers programs including Barn Buddies, beginner riding lessons, field trips/camps and events for both families and corporations in our community. Children and adults with all types of abilities are welcome!
Strides In Motion is an outpatient physical therapy practice that is located within Happy Hooves Therapeutic Farm, and incorporates both clinic-based and if appropriate, Hippotherapy (utilizing the horses unique 3-dimensional movement as a therapy tool) to achieve each client’s individual treatment goals. Strides In Motion treats children and adults with a wide variety of neuromuscular diagnoses including but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spina Bifida and Multiple Sclerosis.
Happy Hooves Therapeutic Farm partners with multiple local charities for free family events including an annual Easter Egg Hunt, a Santa Claus Christmas Party, and story times with local authors. Many local schools and groups including Fox Valley Special Recreation Association enjoy the use of our facility. We offer beginner riding lessons to both children (over the age of 6) and adults. There are multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the year for middle school and high school youth, as well as adults.
This year, we will be hosting our annual Fall Festival at Happy Hooves Therapeutic Farm on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, from 11am to 4pm. There will be multiple food tents, live music, a silent auction, carnival games, prizes, face painting, horse demonstrations, a goat obstacle course, “bubbles and bunnies” and much more! Funds raised from this event are allocated for our free community events, farm equipment, support and care of our therapy animals, scholarships, heating cost for our barn and arena/pasture management.
